Good morning ladies! How are you all today? I believe Im doing good, still not awake. Our weather has turned awful! Schools are canceled due to the ice. Last night it was in the 40s and it rained, today we have wind chill advisory so we got ice! Im glad I dont have to go no where.
Yesterday I had a huge scare. I was making a lo and I heard a chicken making noise so I looked out the window and an eagle was trying to get her. That was a first for me. I knew it was a danger for the chickens and my little dogs but nothing had happened until then. Took me a long time to find all my chickens.
I got a surprise in the mail yesterday, I use to write to 60 some soldiers over seas, I enjoyed it but I couldnt afford it any more so I had to stop. Well one of the soldier sent me a card and its so beautiful! His kind words inside made me cry. I dont think they will never understand they how much they have touched my heart. I think Ill go back and find someone to write to again. If I keep the number down it will be easier and affordable. Of course Ill write him until he comes home too. If you have time please check out anysoldier.com There are many things you can do to help make it a little easier for those away from home. Some of those over seas just want a letter from home. I wrote just like I do here daily, nothing special. I did send packages also but will not this time until I get money coming in.
Today I will be doing our taxes, Im not looking forward to it at all. We always get a return but just to do it sucks! I am happy I only have 1 w-2 for me this year lol
Ok I think I talked your ear off long enough. I hope everyone has a great day and if you have ice in your area stay safe.

Hi there. No ice here in Northern Ireland - just lots of rain.
We have the same story with the weather today! School is canceled here as well because of the ice. I can only imagine the joy that your letters have brought those soldiers. What a wonderful thing to do!
Bad weather here too...same deal!
Lovely story about the soldier. That's wonderful! I need to do that.
driving thru on the DSO blog train. I love when people do things for our soldiers overseas, some have been away from their families for over a year and it's so hard on them. My husband is military, he official retires May 1st and I can't wait.
wow! 60 soldiers... that is amazing and so wonderful too... thanks for the anysoldier link..I just bookmarked it for when I have a bit of time
Thank you so much for keeping in contact with our soldiers. They appreciate anything from home.
Awww, that's great that you write to the soldiers. As the wife of one, I can tell you they treasure nothing more than letters from home. I also got word there's a new flat rate box at the post office that is discounted $2 if shipped to an overseas military address. I think it's $10 for all you can cram in the box. If that's something you'd be interested in doing.
That is great about the soldier.
It is warmish here in New York.
Oh! Thank you for that website! I didn't know we could still do that. I knew you just couldn't send it to any soldier anymore though. I'm going to get writing!
Thank you!
riding the DSO Blog Train.... I think writing to our soldiers is a great idea! Picking one is good ... my Husband is a Soldier, so I say thanks for doing what you can do to support our troops!!
Thanks for the any soldier link - our military men, women, and families are just awesome!
Our weather is just windy - again. They forecasted 45 mph gusts for today. Thank goodness I don't have to go anywhere.
just bookmarked the anysoldier link too!
running thru from the dso train, saying hi...

How sweet! You obviously made an impression.
Choo choo- Man I get cold just hearing the word ICE!! LOL, I'll stick to my SUN thanks-hee hee
You are doing a wonderful thing by touching hearts away from home- it's amazing what just a letter can do to brighten a day-
