200 posts & 2000 visitors

Good morning everyone! How's everyone doing? Ive got so much to talk about today! This will be my 200th post and 2000 visitors have stop by my blog. Isn't that exciting! Well it is for me. I was shocked when I noticed it. Thank you all for stopping by and reading what I have wrote!

Ok first I will talk about Friday. At 8:50 we were all in the jury room learning about being on a jury but before we could finish watching the tape we were called into the court room (it was kinda like a tape you'd see in school lol) We all filed into the court room where we were told a little about the case and then 18 of us were picked to sit in the jury box. The questioning began but the layers couldn't find a reason to boot us off so they begin taking turns removing us one by one. I remained on the panel. The case was about a guy who was guilty of being drunk but he said he wasn't driving like the police officer said he was. The state only had 2 witnesses and the Defendant only had himself. Now was well over the legal limit for being drunk (1.8). We found him not guilty of drinking and driving for a few reasons. 1. The officer said the first encounter with this guy was on the 500 block and we knew he lived close by so we told him to walk the few blocks home (he lived at 522) but he also said it was right in front of the guy's apartment. How can it be both? 2. They never found the keys in the ignition. 3. The same officer said he saw the guy driving the car but when he backed up (2 to 3 seconds) they guy had pulled over to the right side of the street parked the car perfectly and the keys were no where to be found. Huh? No way could be do all that in seconds if he was that drunk! We were done by 2:30 pm. Now please don't get me wrong I do not think the police officers were lying just to get this guy.

After all this I then had to grab Jessyca from school so we could go get groceries for the weekend. Jerry did get home late like he thought he would but we had the camper all packed up. I showed Jerry on the computer were the camp ground was. Now remember he is a super truck driver lol He said ok I know where it is but I'm going to take the back way. So off we go (him in his truck and me in my van) To make a long story short, we come to the road to take us to the camp ground, there's the road to turn on to, go right on by! He stops and both Jessyca and I tell him we passed the road to the camp ground. He says Nope its another 6 miles. I said no that's it. He gets back into his truck and continues to drive. Oh my we pop out where we would of turn if we followed the map. So that was the camp ground road! He stops and gets out to tell us we have to go back around both Jessyca and I sitting there with the biggest grins on our faces lol So on our way back a deer jumps out of the woods and hits the camper. No major damage but it wouldn't of happened if he had listened to us in the first place. We didn't get set up until 10:30. It was a long day! We had a good time any way but it was so good to be back home!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great Tuesday!

Glad the camping trip went well.

Jury duty - never had to do it yet. Sounds fascinating, but not sure I would like it!

Loved your stories. I only had to report for jury duty once but by the time, I got kicked off, the investigating officer was a friend of mine and my DH.

I've always wanted to sit on a jury but the one time I was called, I wasn't able to because I was a SAHM and had no one else to watch my little one. I'm wondering how easily swayed I'd be, hearing one side and then the other? I think it would be fascinating.

I have to agree, jury duty sounds fascinating. I've never done it either.

Isn't it fun to be right? Glad nothing was hurt to bad with the deer!
