Missing My Buddy!

I was over at Phyllis's blog reading some of her post and saw a label called "My Navy Man" So I started to read, turns out her son is in the Navy. I don't think Ive said a whole alot about my son Matthew who is also in the Navy. Her post were a huge flash back for me and made me miss him even more. Matthew is from my first marriage, him and I were always together and in a way grew up together. Ive always been there for him and will continue to be until I die. I'm so proud of him to do what he did (join the Navy in this time) There was a time I wasn't sure what was going to happen to him, he seen so much evil at a young age. I'm not sure if you all will believe me when I say he will be calling me tomorrow because he will sense "Mommy's Alert" is what he calls it. He says he can tell when I am worried about him or he needs to call because I'm missing him so much (which I'm miss him so bad right now) Matthew graduated high school in June of 2006, left for boot camp in Aug. of 2006, graduated boot camp in October 2006 (I got to go see him graduate for my birthday present from Jerry) and was able to come home in Dec. of 2006. He left again on Christmas morning, we dropped him off at the airport and I ain't seen him since. I know he is safe and he not in Iraq but it don't stop me from missing him. Ok Ive said enough and shed enough tears I want to show you all my Buddy!

When he was home in Dec. 2006. He called me into the bathroom saying "Mom come look!" and then said "I have to shave Mom!" Until he went into the Navy Matthew had to shave less then 5 times. He had maybe 5 chin hairs and I use to tease him about it. He wrote me from boot camp to tell me he got 7 chest hairs, he was so proud.
I cant wait til he is done and can come home, he will never leave my sight again!
